This commemorative envelope was issued by Canada Post January 12, 2002.

Known originally as the 'Arenas' and then later as the 'St. Patricks,' the Toronto Maple Leafs came into being in 1927 when a young entrepreneur and coach named Conn Smythe purchased the team. The Leafs' long history includes twelve Stanley Cup titles and more than 5,000 games.

The cover was sold for $2.00, and 20,000 were produced. Mint stamps were not sold.
